Day 1: Arrival in Dar es Salaam and Transfer to Selous Game Reserve

Arrive in Dar es Salaam, where a representative from Serengeti Wildlife Safaris will greet you at the airport. After a brief introduction, begin your scenic 5–6-hour drive to Selous Game Reserve (now Nyerere National Park), one of Tanzania’s largest and most biodiverse parks. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive where you will spot elephants, lions, giraffes, hippos, and an array of bird species. The park's remote and tranquil atmosphere provides an intimate safari experience. In the evening, unwind at your lodge with a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day Safari in Selous Game Reserve

Dedicate today to exploring Selous Game Reserve. Start with an early morning game drive to catch sight of wildlife at its most active, including African wild dogs, lions, elephants, and hippos. After lunch, embark on a boat safari along the Rufiji River, where you can observe crocodiles, hippos, and a wide variety of birdlife up close. Additionally, enjoy a walking safari with an experienced guide for a unique, up-close exploration of the flora and fauna. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and a peaceful night under the African sky.

Day 3: Selous to Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, travel by road to Ruaha National Park, approximately 6-7 hours away. Ruaha, Tanzania’s second-largest national park, is known for its rugged terrain and diverse wildlife. Upon arrival, embark on an afternoon game drive to spot large herds of elephants, lions, leopards, and the rare wild dog. The park’s remoteness ensures a private and undisturbed safari experience. Spend the night at your lodge, nestled in the heart of Ruaha’s wilderness, surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

Day 4: Full Day Safari in Ruaha National Park and Return to Dar es Salaam

Start the day with an early morning game drive in Ruaha National Park. After lunch, continue your safari in the park or visit one of its scenic viewpoints for panoramic views. Later, travel back to Dar es Salaam (approximately 6-7 hours) for your transfer to the airport or hotel.
