Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
On Day 1, you will depart from Arusha, taking a scenic flight to the iconic Serengeti National Park, famous for its annual wildebeest migration. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your experienced driver-guide from Serengeti Wildlife Safaris, who will lead you on an exhilarating afternoon game drive. As you venture through the park’s vast landscapes, you'll encounter a stunning array of wildlife, from herds of elephants to predatory lions stalking their prey. After the game drive, you’ll enjoy a relaxing evening at the Moyo Tented Lodge, an exquisite camp that combines comfort with the beauty of the African wilderness. Day 2: Serengeti National Park Full Game Drive
Day 2 is dedicated to exploring the heart of the Serengeti, particularly following the migratory route of the wildebeest and zebra herds. You’ll spend the entire day with your Serengeti Wildlife Safaris guide, observing the great migration in full swing. Depending on the timing of your visit, you may witness dramatic river crossings or massive herds stretching as far as the eye can see. The Serengeti’s vast open plains and diverse ecosystems provide ample opportunities to spot predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. In the evening, after a rewarding day of wildlife viewing, you’ll head to Angata Bologonja North for a restful night under the African skies, preparing for another thrilling day.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park - Migration Experience
On Day 3, you’ll delve deeper into the Serengeti, focusing more closely on the migration experience. Your Serengeti Wildlife Safaris guide will navigate you through the best areas for viewing the seasonal migration, where vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains in search of food and water. In the late afternoon, you’ll enjoy a scenic drive through the Serengeti towards Ngorongoro and overnight at The Retreat Ngorongoro, soaking in the beauty of this wilderness. Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Full Game Drive
On Day 4, you’ll explore the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site home to a rich concentration of wildlife. After breakfast at your lodge, you will begin your journey to the Ngorongoro Highlands. Once you arrive, you’ll descend into the crater for a full-day game drive. The floor of the crater is teeming with wildlife, including the elusive black rhino, large herds of buffalo, wildebeest, and prides of lions. The fertile ecosystem surrounded by towering crater walls makes it one of the world’s most remarkable wildlife destinations. After a full day of exploration, you’ll go to your lodge, Suricata Boma, nestled in the Mto wa Mbu area. Enjoy a peaceful evening under the stars, reflecting on the day’s wildlife sightings.
Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park Full Game Drive
On Day 5, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its stunning landscapes, tree-climbing lions, and abundant birdlife. This Park offers a variety of habitats, from lush rainforests and dense woodlands to the alkaline lake itself, making it a perfect spot for diverse wildlife sightings. You’ll embark on a full-day game drive, where you might encounter large herds of elephants, flamingos along the shores, and, if you’re lucky, the famous tree-climbing lions. After a captivating day exploring the park, you’ll head to Suricata Boma for an overnight stay, preparing for your next thrilling adventure.
Day 6: Tarangire National Park and Return to Arusha
On the final day of your safari, you’ll head to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. This full-day game drive will allow you to explore the park’s diverse habitats, from dense woodlands to expansive grasslands. The abundance of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, and predators, will keep you captivated throughout the day.
