Day 1 arrival in Tanzania

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by
your Africa Climber and Adventures representative. You'll be transferred to your hotel in Moshi for an
overnight stay. This is your chance to rest and prepare for the incredible adventure that lies ahead. If time
permits, you may explore the town of Moshi, soaking in the vibrant culture and local hospitality before
the beginning of your epic journey.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

Morning: Depart from Hotel early in the morning, heading
towards Tarangire National Park. The journey by road
typically takes around 2-3 hours.
Mid-morning : Arrive at Tarangire National Park, known
for its large elephant population, diverse birdlife, and
ancient baobab trees. Begin your game drive upon entry
into the park. Lunch: Enjoy a packed lunch at a designated
picnic spot within the park while observing the
surrounding wildlife.
Afternoon: Continue exploring Tarangire, seeking out iconic species such as lions, giraffes, zebras, and
wildebeests. The park's varied landscapes, including grasslands, swamps, and acacia woodlands, offer
ample opportunities for wildlife encounters.
Late afternoon: Exit the park and head to your arranged accommodation outside the park for dinner
and overnight stay. Many lodges and campsites in the area offer comfortable accommodations with
stunning views of the surrounding wilderness.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

Pick up at around 8 AM from your hotel and depart for Lake
Manyara National Park with a picnic lunch for a full day
game drive. As you enter the national park, lush forests of
Acacia and Mahogany trees begin to set the mood for what
is waiting ahead. The game drive will go on till evening with
a small break for picnic lunch. During the game drive watch
out for buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons and the blue
monkeys. Another spectacle of Lake Manyara National park
is the tree climbing lions, however spotting them is a game
of luck. In the right season, you can see the shoreline turning pink with millions of flamingos flocking
there. Post the game drive, you will head back to your /lodge where a delicious dinner awaits you.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast we head towards the Serengeti
National Park,via beautiful high lying farmland of
Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation
area.leaving the Highlands behind,we descend into
the heart of wild Africa- the Serengeti National parkwith its endless plains,rolling into the distance as far
as the eye can see.We continue to Serengeti National
Park, passing through Olduvai Gorge, a famous
archaeological site where Dr. Louis Leakey
discovered the remains of Homo habilis, an important link in human evolution. In the afternoon, we will
have a game drive in the Serengeti, home to over 35 species of animals like zebras, wildebeests, elands,
and giraffes.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

You won’t find many better national parks in Africa
than the Serengeti, which has few rivals when it comes
to both the numbers and variety of animals. Track
down the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra.
Enjoy the vast horizons that are perfect for spotting
predators (especially lions, leopards, cheetahs and
spotted hyenas) and their prey (buffaloes, impalas and
kongoni), as well as elephants and giraffes. If you’re
really lucky you’ll see a hunt, one of the most
exhilarating sights anywhere in the wild. And at every turn, revel in its beauty, with flat-topped
acacia trees silhouetted against the setting sun, and so many other classic African safari images.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park

The park is also the starting point for one of the
world's most remarkable events—the annual
wildebeest migration. Starting in June, more than a
million wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles journey
toward Kenya's Masai Mara in search of greener
pastures, with predators like lions, cheetahs, wild
dogs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures following close
behind. The Serengeti is also home to over 500 bird
species. We arrive in time for lunch an afternoon
game drive in the Serengeti national park./

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning: Depart from your accommodation
after breakfast for the journey to Ngorongoro
Crater, which usually takes around 2-3 hours.
Mid-morning: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater,
a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's
most renowned wildlife destinations. The crater's
enclosed ecosystem supports a vast array of
wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, elephant,
buffalo, rhinoceros, and leopard). Late morning to
early afternoon: Spend the day exploring the crater floor, marveling at the diverse habitats and
abundant wildlife. Keep an eye out for rare species such as the black rhinoceros and the elusive
cheetah.
Lunch: Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the crater, surrounded by the stunning
landscape and wildlife.Afternoon: Continue your game drive in Ngorongoro Crater, maximizing
your chances of encountering iconic African wildlife in their natural habitat. Ascend from the
crater and begin your journey to your arranged lodge for overnight stay and relax after an
exciting day in the crater.

Day 8: Arusha National Park

The final day of your safari will begin during morning time after a luscious breakfast in your
hotel,Destination for today arusha national park walking with an armed ranger,you will have
picnic lunch and game drive in the park,the park is at the base of mt meru,which is good for
climbing.it has a range of habitats include forest home of the black and white colobus monkey
and is excellent for birding.several lakes often host flocks of flamingo,the park appeal is mainly
its scenery,the habitat diversity spans from montane[mountain]rain forest to moist savannah to
alpine moorland.post the game drive,you will head back to your lodge where a delicious dinner
awaits you ,by midafternoon,you will branch out and head towards moshi where you will be
dropped off to your preferred location by about 6pm in the evening.with an incredible
experience and loads of memories to cherish. For the hike option one day rest before starting.

Day 9: Rest Day

Day 1: Moshi Town to Machame Gate (1790m) – Machame Camp (3010m)

✓ Hiking time: 7 hours
✓ Distance: Approximately 18 kilometers
✓ Habitat: Montane Forest
The Kilimanjaro National Park gate is only a
45-minute drive from your hotel. You will be
picked up after breakfast and make your way
there for the start of your climb. Once you
have arrived your guide will get started with
the formalities (entrance forms) while you
observe all the different teams and mountain
crew getting ready for their expedition. It’s
always a fascinating experience for clients to
watch them load all the different items for the trip. As soon as everything is prepared your
adventure will begin. The destination for today will be the Machame Camp which you should
reach in about 5 – 6 hours. On route you will experience a wonderful rainforest with ancient
trees, primeval ferns, liana & lichen to mention but a few. Another favourite to look out for on
this day is the black and white thumbless colobus monkeys. Once you arrive at your campsite
for the night you have time to relax before enjoying a well deserve dinner prepared by our own
cook.

Day 2: Machame Camp (3010m) – Shira Camp (3845m)

✓ Hiking time: 6 hours
✓ Distance: Approximately 9 kilometers
✓ Habitat: Moorland
Although today is a shorter stretch then yesterday
you will still have an early start which will allow
you to reach today’s destination around midafternoon. The landscape changes dramatically from
the green mountain rainforest into moor and heath
land. You will have a beautiful view of the
mountain range from your campsite which is
situated at the Shira Plateau. The glacier of Kibo
also lights up as the sun sets for the evening. Day 3:
Shira Camp (3845m)

Day 3: Shira Camp - Lava Tower Hut (4640m) – Barranco Camp (3960m)

✓ Hiking time: 7 hours
✓ Distance: Approximately 15 kilometers
✓ Habitat: Semi-desert
Today is a good day for the body to acclimatize for
the days to follow. You will climb roughly
700m but will sleep on a level not much higher than
the night before. We will start at Shira Plateau and
make our way up to Lava Tower at around 4640m,
after a rest we will continue through the Barranco
Valley until we reach our destination for the day the
beautiful Barranco Camp. Today’s trek will be
approximately 6 – 7 hours, during which time you
will experience the alpine desert as well as the
Barranco Valley with its small lobelia plants and
giant senecio’s. You will sit down for a well-deserved dinner before it’s time to rest in
preparation for the next day.

Day 4: Barranco Camp (3960m) – Karanga Camp (4035m)

✓ Hiking time: 4-5 hours
✓ Distance: Approximately 5 kilometers
✓ Habitat: Alpine desert
Just after breakfast we concur the famous Barranco Wall. You might need your hands once in a while for better grip, but with that being said, there are no climbing passages, and as safety is very important,
please listen to our guides who will ensure you get to the top safely. There will be a lot of ascents and
descents today followed by a walk along the mountain ridge. This will reward you will a great view of the
glacier of Kibo. Walking time today will be 3 – 4 hours with the Kibo summit all the time on your left
accompanying you to your camp for the night.

Day 5: Karanga Camp (4035m) – Barafu Camp (4640m)

✓ Hiking time: 2-3 hours
✓ Distance: Approximately 4 kilometers
✓ Habitat: Alpine desert
Barafu Camp is our destination for today and will be reach after 3-4 hours. Most of this time you will be
walking through the moon-like alpine dessert. After a satisfying dinner you will have an early night and a
good rest. The

Day 6: Barafu Camp (4640m) – Uhuru Peak (5895m) – Mweka Camp (3080m)

✓ Hiking time: 8 hours to reach Uhuru Peak, 7-8 hours to descend to Mweka
✓ Distance: Approximately 7-kilometer ascent and 23-kilometer descent
✓ Habitat: Stone scree and ice-capped summit
This will be the toughest but also the most rewarding day. We will wake up very very early, during the night, in order to arrive to the peak at sunrise. This will just be a 5 kilometers hike but due to the altitude and steepness (1186 meters ascent) it will take 6 to 7 hours to do. When you reach the summit, you will be at 5985 meters and have the best views of your entire life. You will never in your life forget this moment and it will make you a better person. After some time at
the summit, we’ll start our descent to Mweka. Again, we’ll walk for 5 to 7 hours, for a total of 12 kilometers, in order to sleep at a much more comfortable altitude of 3096 meters. Dinner/Overnight at Mweka Camp.

Day 7: Mweka – Mweka Gate– Moshi

✓ Distance: Approximately 15 kilometers
✓ Habitat: Montane Forest
A sustained descent on a well-constructed path through lovely tropical forest alive with birdsong and boasting lush undergrowth with considerable botanical interest. Our route winds down to the National Park gate at Mweka (1650m). Here we sign out from the National Park A vehicle will meet you at the Gate to drive you back to hotel. The shower, the beer, and the swimming pool are tantalisingly close!
